San Francisco-based sound artist and audiovisual composer Cullen Miller synthesizes an abstract hybrid of aleatoric pop and colorful, noisy minimalism. Incorporating original field recordings, heavy use of digital signal processing, breezy vocals, strip club synths, and peculiar horn arrangements, Miller weaves together a musical tapestry that is threaded by clicky pop and techno. His compositional endeavors began by learning double bass and studying contemporary classical and jazz theory under the Netherlands based composer and bassist, Chad Langford. After his studies, Miller’s obsession with experimentation led him to an interest in designing performance tools with custom software. During his tenure at Gray Area Foundation for the Arts, Miller developed an arsenal of audiovisual performance tools for their multichannel immersive environment. He performs periodically with his 7 piece ensemble, Santa and under his dub guise, Selande. He has releases on Konque (NYC), Igloo-Rec (AR), Two Circles (DET) and Cunei Media (SF).

Born and raised in Detroit, Miller's aptitude for automated culture is axiomatic. His formative years were spent foraying the landscape of Detroit's fringe electronic and instrumental music locale. Highly influenced by the freak ideas prominent in the San Francisco Bay Area, Miller decided to move across the country and further his compositional studies. After receiving his B.A. in Music Composition, he was taken onto the San Francisco State University faculty to teach digital signal processing and Ableton Live. His experience with modern classical music led to his work with the San Francisco Contemporary Music Players (SFCMP), a Bay Area based non-profit dedicated to commissioning and performing new works.

In 2011 and 2012, Miller has spent time drifting between coasts as an abettor of the digital arts. During his time in New York City, he served as the Artistic Director for the Brooklyn-based new media art space, Devotion Gallery. In his spare time he runs Cunei Media, a blog and netlabel dedicated to broadcasting digital data pertaining to "noise, nature, & networks" across the interwebs. Miller's curatorial work steered him to an extended term at Gray Area Foundation for the Arts, where he served as their Director of Public Programs, senior curator, and lead operator of the multimedia suite.

"If technology and music are your life, brace yourself- MOLDOVER is about to reformat your soul. Hailed by over 1,000,000 YouTube viewers as "The Godfather of Controllerism", Moldover is a new breed of music icon. Combining the charisma of a rock star, the mad genius of a basement inventor, and the radical inclusiveness of the DIY internet generation, Moldover is "literally throwing away the rule book and reinventing the wheel" (Remix Magazine). Witness his balls-to-the-wall LIVE SHOW at a club, experience one of his JAMBOX multiplayer instruments at a festival, or pick up and play the "LIGHT THEREMIN" packaging of his debut album and understand why the next paradigm for music is a one-man-brand called Moldover."

Weaving delicate melodic threads through sub-laden downtempo beats, Nonagon's music is a feast for mind and body alike.

As a producer, Nonagon is at once technical, intuitive, and expressive. His focus on marrying emotion and beauty to the raw aggression of underground dance music has led to a large body of work running the gamut from grimy hip hop to cinematic drum 'n bass.

As a performer, Nonagon brings the skill and technique of a traditional instrumentalist to the cutting-edge world of live electronic music. His sets -- always composed entirely of original music -- are heavily improvised through hands-on manipulation of a carefully-curated combination of commercial and hand-built hardware and software. An engineer and contributor to live electronic music site Controllerism.com, Nonagon is constantly pushing the state-of-the-art and setting new standards for electronic music performance.

For over a decade, Manitous has been stealthily traversing the west coast underground and beyond, strategically opening giant wormholes in the space-time continuum. A child of disparate worlds and a man of environmental extremes, Manitous is the product of sonic collision…he is a walking soundclash. His career as a dj has seen him welcome desert sunrises with epic dreamspell breaks, rockin boats with some o’ that old school, destroying dancefloors with the junglist massive, and recently causing frenzies dropping spaceglitchdubelectrobreakshousehopstep and a good amount of African and dancehall vibes. With a healthy disregard for genres and a nasty case of the whomps, Manitous continues to bring the danger to speakers worldwide.

Miguel Trost De Pedro or Kid 606 was born in Venezuela but raised in San Diego Moving to San Francisco in the 1990s; he was still a teenager when he began to compose digital hardcore music.

Kid606's music is similar to the work of his friend and colleague Lesser, as well as hardcore and IDM acts such as Atari Teenage Riot,Autechre, Mr. Oizo, and Matmos. He is primarily inspired not by his electronic contemporaries, but by his love of the Industrial music,Death metal, and Industrial metal of the 1980s and 90s, particularly bands like Godflesh and Napalm Death. His music is known for its high tempo breakbeats and liberal use of noise and sampling, as well as its punk aesthetic, uninhibited genre-mixing, and irreverent sense of humor. However, he is equally adept at creating more serious tracks that often reside in the realm of ambient and glitch ("Parenthood" from Kill Sound Before Sound Kills You and the entirety of P.S. I Love You being good examples).

Notable releases by Kid606 include Don't Sweat the Technics (VC140: 1998), Down with the Scene (IPC-7:2000), P.S. I Love You(MP93: 2000), and Kill Sound Before Sound Kills You (IPC-46:2003). He collaborated or participated in the groups Flossin,Spacewurm, Ariel and Disc.

In 2005, he put together a band with a drummer and guitarist called Kid606 and Friends.

It all started with “Superfreak”, pots, pans, and chopsticks. Then he found the drum machine at age four. Now he’s tearing up the electronic music scene in every bass slapping, mind bending, brain melting way possible. Mad Zach is a force to be reckoned with. He founded CustomMidiControllers.com in 2010 and now is a major contributor to the San Francisco based blog and website, DJTechTools: creating and uncovering new artists through his weekly “sound packs”, contests and tutorial videos.

But let’s forget the professional resume and focus on what makes Zach “Mad”. He specializes in hand made, good old fashioned, organic beats. That means he makes this shit live. Yeah, you read that right - Live. His influences transcend time and genre; pulling from such greats as Dr. Dre, the RZA, Billy Holiday, Deep Forest and Eprom. An audiophile and “burritovore”, Zach craves vinyl, analog synths, and what he describes as “weird old keyboards”. He’s had several releases with SF based glitch hop label, Multi Music, including the sophomore 2009 full length, “Wolf Spiders”, as well as 2011’s “Devil Dancehall” and in 2012, “Hypercube”. Zach is currently working on stimulating the world’s earlobes with recent remixes and a new collaboration with the amazing, G Jones.
