LISTEN and LISTEN/VISION events
LISTEN/VISION is a unique series exploring the art of perception. It is a place and time for a shared experience of sound and light and space. Overlap commissions new and *unreleased* sound and video recordings from an international pool of acclaimed contemporary artists. These exclusive pieces, not to be found anywhere on the web or a CD, are presented in a collective listening environment. LISTEN began as an Overlap event founded by Christopher Willits in 2005. After two successful years of audio only compositions, Overlap partnered with Volume in 2007 to expand the series into audio-visual events. If you are interested in syndicating LISTEN in your city, contact info@overlap.org . Past LISTEN events have featured unreleased audio compositions by : Carl Stone, Frank Bretschneider, Taylor Deupree, Kenneth Kirschner, Strategy, Kenric Mcdowell, Sebastien Roux, Christopher Willits, Richard Chartier, The Water, Greg Davis, Sawako, Gregg Kowalsky, Keiichi Sugimoto, and Christopher Willits + Ryuichi Sakamoto.see the past events for more info.
